Dear Mr Collier
Re: Points raised at the Public Accounts Committee meeting on Monday 12 November 2012
As requested in your recent e-mail dated 4th December 2012, please find attached the maternity system database collated on a monthly basis for Cwm Taf Health Board. This provides a range of obstetric measures for the Health Board including Caesarean Section rates. I have enclosed the high level data set, but would be able to provide the same level of information for each geographical team if required.
I have also enclosed the recent evaluation of the relocated alongside birth centre in Prince Charles Hospital which was presented to the Community Health Council in November 2012.
In addition to the above information, the following table provides the required information in relation to the % of women booked for care at or prior to 10 weeks gestation within Cwm Taf Health Board.
